Welcome to My Blog!

Hi! I’m Jordan and welcome to my blog. Who am I? I am a recovering pottymouth, people-pleaser and perfectionist. I am in my mid (fiiiiiine, late) 30s at the time of this posting and work in consumer marketing. I was raised in the Baptist church but have only recently really started to understand what following Jesus actually means and looks like. Never too late to learn, I guess! I studied film production in school and so filmmaking and movie/tv watching are important to me. I write books, I coach, I do about a million different crafts and DIYs and I am forever working on my home, the smallest but most beautiful sanctuary to me. What are the other key stats? Oh yeah. I have no children and have never been married. I love animals, green is my favorite color, and I have great passion for Game of Thrones, Harry Potter, Hunger Games, and Disney Princesses. Do NOT bring these up – I WILL get excited and I WILL talk your ear off. You have been warned! I jest. Sorta.

I am the third of four children. My siblings make me want to pull my hair out MOST of the time but I would also walk through fire for them and I know they would do the same for me. I grew up with a sister OBSESSED with horses and so therefore we all were LOL. I love horses and riding and never outgrew that early-girlhood obsession.

I am one of the most unathletic people I know. I am on the taller side for a woman so when I meet people they often asked if I played basketball or volleyball in high school or college. Nooooooope! I was and am the nerd of my family. All of my siblings were into sports. I was the academic. I was the introvert. In fact, I was so introverted my father actually PAID me several times in high school to go out and socialize with my friends. I wish I was making that up.

I am still introverted as an adult but at least my physical health has improved. I learned through a short stint with a personal trainer all about weight training so I love to push myself (have I mentioned my competitive side yet? Don’t worry it WILL come up!) and try to improve week over week, doing more reps or more weights. If you’re not careful, you can get reeeeeeal crazy about it real quick! Luckily, I have those VERY helpful and honest siblings I mentioned before who have no problem letting me know when I start getting TOO weird about things.

I have multiple irons in the fire in all areas of my life at all times. I’ve never been officially diagnosed with ADD but let’s just say that whatever it is runs RAMPANT through our family! This blog will be a modge podge of my thoughts from updates on my book writings, to providing information for those looking for coaching, to Christianity, to my everyday fumbles and successes, documented for your reading pleasure and, God willing, for your edification and amusement. Welcome to my world!

Now why should you even bother to visit?

This blog (and the entire JB Playbook universe) exists because I got tired of watching people chase after picture-perfect, all-or-nothing lifestyles. The ones that make you feel like if you’re not “crushing it” every single day, you’re somehow failing. I don’t know who needs to hear this, but life is not meant to be perfectly optimized. It’s meant to be lived. Sometimes that means progress. Sometimes that means pausing. Sometimes it means eating peanut butter out of the jar in your bathroom because it’s the only place you get five minutes of quiet.

Here’s what you’ll find:

The Free Blog (You’re Reading It!)

This blog is where I share tips, stories, rants, how-to guides, and general life musings on the big four categories that seem to trip up a lot of us:

  • Productivity: Not the hustle-and-grind kind, but the real kind that works when your brain is fried, your calendar is full, and your to-do list is laughing at you.

  • Home Organization: Systems that make your space work for you, even if your house is tiny, messy, shared with people or pets, or constantly under renovation (hi, it’s me).

  • Finances: We talk budgets, side hustles, money mindsets, and that awkward tension between saving responsibly and ordering takeout three nights a week because you’re tired.

  • Faith: No fluff, no judgment, no pressure. Just reflections, learning moments, and honest conversations about walking out what you believe, even when you’re unsure or overwhelmed.

Everything here is written from the perspective of someone who does not have it all figured out. I’m not speaking from a pedestal—I’m walking right next to you, sometimes tripping over my own shoelaces.

Self-Paced Courses

If you’re ready to go deeper than a blog post and want some structure without the pressure of live meetings or group calls, my self-paced courses are here for you. These are for people who want a clear path forward in a specific area without having to rearrange their entire life to make it happen.

Think: “Let me work through this on my couch in leggings while drinking coffee and yelling at my dog to stop barking at leaves.” That’s the energy.

Courses are designed to be simple, actionable, and flexible. You can move at your own pace and revisit them anytime.

1:1 Coaching

If you want help customizing your systems, setting goals, or getting unstuck, I also offer live one-on-one coaching. This is where we take all the things rattling around in your brain and start turning them into a realistic game plan. No pressure, no judgment, just clarity and forward motion.

We can talk about time management, habit building, budgeting, decluttering, or even how to finally tackle that project you’ve been “thinking about” for two years. I’m not here to give you a perfect blueprint—I’m here to help you build your playbook, one that fits your season of life, your values, and your capacity.

I so look forward to sharing your journey and can’t wait to hear from you!
